ABOUT US
A little about us
I first visited China in 1995. Things were vastly different back then. Not that many skyscrapers. Very few people owned their own cars. Most rode beat-up bikes or beat-up buses. Most Chinese had never been outside of China.
It was still that way when I moved to China in 1999, after having spent two years in Hong Kong. Things were changing by then, but the biggest change came in 2003 with SARS. People became afraid to ride public transportation, so many people started buying cars. Now, in 2022, most people in the cities have their own cars, and sometimes more than one.
By 2003, I had met and married a Chinese lady, and we’d had our first son. Over the years, we had four more. We have been in China, except for four years in the States, the entire time. This site is a little of our story.
What are we doing here?
While I do web design, JP and I both also teach on marriage and relationships, and do marriage coaching and counselling. I do a lot of the class teaching, while my wife does more one-on-one stuff.
In recent years, my wife and I have both had medical issues, but are doing much better, and in the near future our plan is to get more training both in life-coaching and in marriage counseling.
