Up, up and away she goes

JP left with D for the States this morning, before the boys woke up. I took a small bus back home, and since I was the only passenger, had a good conversation with the driver. When I mentioned that I would be watching 3 kids while Mommy was away, he was duly impressed. “Are you going to be able to handle it? Are they well behaved? My 4-year old isn’t very obedient. Are you sure you’re going to be able to handle it?”

Fortunately, I have 3 pretty good kids that are well-behaved most of the time. We should get along just fine.

When EJ woke up this morning, after I got back home (a friend came over to stay with the boys while I took JP to the airport), the first thing he said was, “Daddy.” Then he started calling for Mommy. I think he just wanted to make sure she was really gone.

It’s 9:04, and EC just got up. Guess what the first thing he said was? “Where’s Mommy?”

9:12. Noah came in. “Where’s Mommy?”

Humph. Maybe I’m going to have to slap these boys silly or something.

We love you, Mommy. Have a good, safe, fun trip.
